This is big bang theory if it was good
It was good in the first season or at least until Penny became smarter than the boys and everyone got married.
No, it wasn't good, even before everyone and everything got Flanderised. It was always a shitty sitcom that only got a laugh because they played audio of people laughing.
So many people find it just hilariously funny that it's kind of freaky. It looks like the dumbest show but for years I've heard people just gush about how good it is.
bbt was made for the masses. not for the skewed subset of the population that frequents reddit or lemmy or (insert social site name here). and the masses liked the show enough for it and its prequel spin-off to go a combined 19 seasons.

I've had people say I would like that show, that made me angry. I hadn't even articulated in my head why I didn't like it at that point, but I knew it was terrible anyway.
I also had people tell me I'd like Pearl Jam, because I like Soundgarden. No, Pearl Jam don't do it for me. Soundgarden do, in spite of being published by Sony and relying on dubbing in their singles which couldn't be performed live.
Young Sheldon is actually kind of alright. The writers have clearly heard the criticisms against Big Bang. It's not a stellar show, but it deserves its standing while Big Bang is just all wrong.

I watched about ten minutes of an episode once. Didn't see the appeal and thought maybe something was wrong with my sense of humour.
I watched a clip once where the main dude said he was going to go play a game on his N64 emulator. Then the studio audience LAUGHED at that very basic statement. The fuck?
Like what?? Lol. I can't even comprehend that, and I'm trying very hard.

In your opinion. Some people may enjoy it and that’s fine. I’m sure there are people that don’t like playing Factorio, but to me it’s awesome. Just like I don’t like FIFA but many do.
It's depressing that this needs to be said. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy.

It's bully comedy.
I enjoyed it not gonna lie.
Probably thank to the fact that I'm Deaf and can't hear the laugh track.
But I remember when it was on the cable tv, they actually showed it in the closed captioned suddenly out of nowhere. And it was so annoying to read (audience laughter) every other sentence. I stopped watching after seeing that episode.
Picked it up again recently (on one of streaming service) only cuz I just wanted to have some show I can just pick up and watch. I like binging shows.
It was decent for the most parts, but one part I didn't enjoy was when they got baby.

Pretty sure it was already a thing in the show was that he was already an outcast in his small Texas town because he tried to analyze politics and immediatly came to the conclusion communism made the most sense.
The writers didn't realize how much of a self own it was to have their canonical genius immediatly realize this and was instead just "Oh its why he's so quirky"
Wait, so canonically Sheldon is a communist? 
To be clear I've never watched a minute of the show and heard that on the old subreddit when it happened so to be honest I have no idea.
The episode probably ended with him learning that American capitalism was better because a Texan helped change their tire or something.
