Imagining OP having a panic attack about saying "excuse me."

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 38 points 2 years ago

Tbf people should have enough self awareness to know not to do this but yeah a simple excuse me will do

[–] ARk@lemm.ee 13 points 2 years ago

Me just waiting for them to move trying not to look like I am stalking them nor just waiting for them to move silently which I am doing then coming to conclusion I'll just eat something else than I originally planned to.

Then give you a mean look when you excuse yourself to walk past them or have a look at the shelf they're blocking.

[–] lowleveldata@programming.dev 5 points 2 years ago

Easy! I give them a mean look first because they're blocking

[–] Fiivemacs@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

I just pretend that I want shit behind them so they move, and I keep doing to purposely to get in their way.

Just join in and tell them about your imaginary kids who just happen to be slightly better at everything than the other two parents kids are.

I see lots of tension and energy between those two women. If not civilization conditioning they would be at each other throats.

If not civilization conditioning they would be at each other throats.

I don't think that's within the power of agriculture and settlement hierarchy to achieve.

If anything the improved nutrition and health of people before "civilization" would have made them much more capable of emotional restraint.

In what sense it is “before” civilization, rather than civilization itself?

What bugs me more than aisles is stopping in a doorway. Keep moving.
