The economics of sucking up to Trump and Skydance after Colbert helped make them worth $8 billion

He's called George Cheeks because he's getting them clapped by authoritarians.

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago

"average person gets their cheeks clapped by authoritarians 3 times a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average person gets clapped 0 times per year. Cheeks George, who lives in cave & gets clapped over 10,000 times each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

But they could afford the price tag of South Park? Bullshit.

[–] BeardedGingerWonder@feddit.uk 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not saying they're doing the right thing here, but if South Park is making money and Colbert is losing money it's not really a like for like comparison.

Good thing it was executive cowardice that lost money, not the shows

Yeah pretty sure I'm calling bullshit there George

Man. Without them being willing to confirm how much they're actually losing... it still feels sus to me.

If I managed the biggest program in my segment and I lost money on it they'd fire me.
