Maybe randy finally got that promotion?
In the animated series his character gets carried off by a giant bird in the first episode. Pretty sure it was the first thing they produced after he passed; his dialogue is just scraps they cut from other episodes.
But as far as I've heard they intended that to be canon.

They been doing the TPB thing on and off line for decades now. Whether there's still creative juice left to squeeze I don't know, but those folks are truly committed to the characters if nothing else.
Yeah they literally are the trailer park boys, it's all they've done, and they've poured their hearts into those roles. This will be the ... 5th reboot now counting the movies I believe? TPB are the exception to the rule.
