I was a big fan of their first five albums and then kind of slept on the later ones. I got a chance to see them for the first time a couple of weeks ago, so I tried to get caught up, and the later stuff is way better than I expected. They also put on a kick-ass show.

I'm a big fan! Nice selection! My favorite album of theirs is The Crane Wife, but I'm pretty fond of most of their music, even the later stuff.
Picaresque for me followed by Crane Wife
Picaresque is my second favorite! Lots of great songs on that one too:
- We Both Go Down Together
- The Engine Driver
- The (MFing) Mariner's Revenge Song
Great album. So many good tracks.
O Valencia
Summersong
Sons & Daughters
And of course The Crane Wife
More to check out thanks!
My fave is the rock opera Hazards of Love but nary a bad album in their discography.
The Wanting Comes in Waves / Repaid
Might be my favourite track of theirs
I just now found out about them. Slowing going through their stuff. Nice more recommendations please :D
They adapted the Eschaton scene from Infinite Jest for their Calamity Song video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJpfK7l404I
