To clarify: Mierda is Spanish, merda is Portuguese.

I assume OP was aiming to make a pun with "midas touch", which could work in Spanish but is not relevant in this case.

Our orange turd does seem to get unsettled when people who behave like he does (or would like to) actually experience some repercussions. It's probably the closest thing to empathy he's capable of feeling.
