“We’ve built a new directorial structure based on discussions with the staff to ensure Season 2 maintains and evolves the creative standards set in Season 1. With the foundation built by Keichiro Saito and the multi-talented Daiki Harashina, we will continue our creative journey alongside Tomoya Kitagawa, who helmed many of Season 1’s most memorable episodes.”
My body is ready.

Yes. All my yes.
Anyone knows if season 2 will. Be more like the first cour of season 1 or the 2nd cour of season 1? I personally wasn't a fan of the 2nd cour as it felt like a completely different show that was very battle shounen-ish compared to the first half.
That's part of what made it great for me. You can't have a show hype up this strong and feared character without showing them off a little bit. The second part was the climax of the buildup of the first. Can't wait to see what they have in store for season 2.
I liked the contrast between the two cours. Cour 1's quiet introspection shows life at Frieren's speed, cour 2 focuses on other characters to show life at humans' speed.
I love Frieren but I tend to agree. Not necessarily that I disliked cour 2, but in that I much preferred the quieter and more contemplative episodes over the shonen-y stuff. The whole exam arc for me was a bit too long.
My favorite episode remains the one where they clean up the beach.
The previous season covered chapters 1-60, so I'm going to guess that this season will cover chapters 61-119.
Mild manga spoilers
Season 2 should be more like the 2nd cour of season 1 in pacing and length of arcs, but I liked the material more to a lot more than the first-class mage exam arc.
Ending at chapter 119 because that's the end of an arc.
I'm going into this season blind, but I expect the first cour to be more slice of life with the second being more adventurous. Apples and oranges, but Mushokou Tensei follows a similar pattern.
Mild manga spoilers
If I recall correctly (and if I'm predicting the pacing correctly), the first part should be more similar to the first part of season one, while the second part should be more of a single arc like in season one.
It's an excellent arc, though, and it involves finally meeting the fandom's fourth favourite character according to the manga poll (with Himmel, Frieren, and, uh, the mimics coming up first, second, and third respectively).
Personally I can't wait (though I'm wondering how they'll manage to make it look good in colour).
IIRC, it will be more similar to

second cour of season 1.
Frieren manga specific spoiler
IIRC, the party got wrapped up in a long, action-packed arc against a demon who's basically Midas.
I read the manga and if I remember correctly it does get a bit more chill for sometime? Not sure how far the second season will go but there is a point where it goes very action heavy and doesnt really stop, although even then you get some nice slice of life sprinkled here and there
Hype!
