I'm not talking about cats and dogs begging for food and what not, but wild animals in forests, untammed by humans, if that makes sense.

When I go camping, I bring shelled peanuts to feed blue jays and occasionally a squirl or chipmunk gets to them before the jays do.

Anyways, when I was throwing the peanuts near the jays, a tiny little bird, forgot the name of it, came to grab some too. It came, picked one up, flew away, came back, picked one up, and flew away...but the third time, it came back and flew to my face chirping and just hovering around my face. I took a step back and was all, WTH, and then it flew to a tree and looked at me.

The first thought after, wth, was, "oh you want unshelled peanuts". So I unshelled 3 peanuts, placed them in my hand, extended my hand out and the little bird flew to my hand, landed on my fingers and ate a peanut, then took one and flew away.

Idk, it could just be a weird coincidence, but wouldn't most people fling their hands to shoo away the bird in their face, or after being wth, walk away and stop feeding birds?

Have you ever had something like this happen? Maybe not feeding a bird, but a moment with an animal you can but can't explain?
