Hello. I have a KIA Sorento (2011). I took out the key from ignition at ACC, idk how. After that I tried to lock the car (didn't work) and later start it (key didn't turn in the ignition).

Any ideas what went wrong? Or what could be broken.

Could you have activated the steering wheel lock? Jiggle the wheel while turning the key

Might take more than a jiggle. Pull hard to the right on the steering wheel and try, then pull hard to the left and try.

Yes, the steering wheel could have been activated, no problem at all. I tried it and it didn't work

Lock cylinder, they're $20 on Amazon and a matching doors and ignition set is $30.

Make sure its in park. If it is, look into your neutral safety switch.

It's manual. And it was in neutral
