Fish, chips and mushy peas with a breadcake on the side. I then make a butty with some of all three ingredients.
Haddock and chips (large) dripping with vinegar, mushy peas, and a can of cream soda.
I live in Canada now, and what they call fish and chips is fish and French fries. I really want a huge heap of proper chips ๐ฎโ๐จ.
In my fatter youth:
Large cod, large chips, side of beans.
I'm my healthier mid life:
Medium cod, large chips, curry sauce / gravy
Piece of flake, two potato cakes (aka potato scallops) and two dim sims.
I get a kid's fish dinner from our local. It's massive for a kids portion and only 4 quid.
Or, two battered sausages, chips, onion rings, gravy.
Chicken burger, scampi, gurkin, and a battered sausage. Pineapple fritter if Iโm feeling fancy
