If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

People have already been arrested for impersonating ice bc of that exact situation. It’s actually insane

My hypothesis is they deputized a bunch of random who answered internet ads and offered them a fixed amount per person they bring in. They get paid the same, so why bother checking?
My hope remains that some vestiges of the rule of law remain and all these people so wronged by this system will eventually have their day in court, and get restitution.
It's a tiny hope, since I'm reluctant to believe the above will eventually happen, but I'll hold on to it just the same.

I have been wondering the same thing. Like, this is 1 lady, how/why did they target her specifically or was she just near by and brown?
wrong place wrong time... They're lazy, they don't want to work for it. They're not going to go after criminals or gangs. We're going after gardeners, Ice cream, vendor and maids.
