I hope it tastes good. It would be a good step to helping biodiversity in oceans bounce back.

I'm glad to see this, and I look forward to it being available in my area.

Not something that can be bought at a store yet, but they do have two restaurants lined up in the US serving it on a limited basis, one in Portland, OR and another in Austin, TX.

Why post this on a vegan community? We don't eat salmon.

This wouldn't be salmon, it's never been part of a fish. It's salmon cells eventually cultivated into an edible shape.

Are you trying to be a cliche stereotype of a vegan in a joke?

I'm not vegan, I dong eat meat and I very occasionally eat fish. I follow this community because veganism is something I value without being fully committed to it. The idea of eating something I like without the bitter ethical side-dish (in theory, nothing is perfect) is very interesting to me. And totally worth of the "vegan" label.

I misunderstood, I thought the article was about farmed salmon.

Though I personally did not go vegan for reasons of animal welfare, so whether meat comes from an animal or a vat has little to do with whether I'd choose to eat it.
