Looking for content creators focused on fun brews (lemmy.world)

Hi friends,

A couple of months ago I found the coolest content creator: Bobi Brews. He makes standard brews that are fun to play and are still somewhat competitive. Playing Bobi's decks has been my primary way of having fun in magic.

Unfortunately it seems Bobi is a bit burned out at the moment (in this meta, who can blame him?) and hasn't produced videos in a while. I'm looking for similar content creators who focus mostly on Standard or Pioneer brews so that I can continue having fun with this game. I don't want meta decks, I want fun decks!

Can you suggest anyone? Thanks!

maybe mtggoldfish on yt with their brewer's kitchen and against the odds playlists

Is Saffron Olive still around? He used to put together fun gimmicky decks back in the day, but I haven't been in the MTG scene in a few years.

Yeah, he's at the MTGGoldfish channel, which is huge. I was looking to support smaller content creators, tho!

SwayzeMTG (https://youtube.com/@swayzemtg) is my current daily dose for interesting standard brews.

Also MTG_Creative_Combos (https://youtube.com/@mtg_creative_combos) and MTG Filipa (https://youtube.com/@mtgfilipa) are good channels.

@pathief Amy the Amazonian does fun Brawl and Historic decks.
They're not exactly "16 Siege Rhinos" kind of silly, but they're not trying to win the meta game. They're usually just "hey this commander or mechanic seems fun. Let's play it"

I like Amy, fantastic content creator. I just don't appreciate the formats she plays, unfortunately.
