it's simple; the one with less melanin in their skin and/or more money in their bank account is the innocent party.

Racism/sexism have always been class issues, used to divide the poors or consolidate power. They've just crept into every aspect of society so that the powerful have started drinking their own kool-aid.
It doesn't have to do with the crimes you commit but your skin colour.
Also the amount of wealth you have.
