Timothee Chalamet was a surprisingly good Paul Atreides but WTF happened to Zendaya? She looked nothing like this in Spiderman. The end of the movie wrapped things up pretty good so is part 2 an adaptation of Dune Messiah or something?

Pic related.

Part two is the second half of the first book.

??? How? They finished the first book... at least I'm pretty sure they did but its been a while since I read the series.

The first half of the book is the fall of House Atreides, and then the rest of the book is Paul living among the Fremen until the end where he leads them in a coup against the emperor. The first movie ends with the House falling and Paul and his mother meeting up with the Fremen.

NGL this whole post was me trying to do a bit where I pretended to be the kind of guy that mistakenly watches the Dune movie from the 80s thinking it was the Dune movies from the 2020s and doesnt realize anything is up. I feel bad now because I think some people didn't catch on and I should have put this in c/badposting instead.

Ah, gotcha. That makes sense.

I prefer the sci-fi channel adaptations. I found this one rather dry.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

That's amazing. Much closer to Frank Herbert's original vision, like a glimpse into the unrealized Jodorowsky version... Where can I get the full movie? Ebay isnt showing me anything.

I believe this is the only fragment that survived the Butlerian Jihad

Endless tragedy... infinite lamentations...

Honestly my feelings on the second movie was that kung fu panda 4 was better than Dune 2
