after a very long time spent on 3dsmax, as I started with ubisoft in 2007, up until 2022 in another adventure with gameloft the twin companies were heavily relying on max as main DCC, but suddenly gameloft choose to switch to blender, and it was imposed on me to transition following the studio's direction.
in the first few months I had no idea what I am doing, all I know are the basic, rotation move and scale, and that's it but blender had something special .. its fun to use.
thats when I decided to ditch more than a decade invested on max (during which I tried many many times to switch to maya but came back to max everytime), and stick with blender which is my main DCC today for animation and rigging.
max is logical but its bone dry as autodesk choose to put it on maintenance in favor of maya, while maya has better options, but god the Ui Ux is so stupid I think sabotage. but blender got the best of the two, I am talking blender post 2.8.
and today, I can even write my own tools (just vibe coding, I dont want to be a coder, and I dont want invest in it, but ai is good to make operational drafts, and I believe those are good drafts for ideas to improve blender) https://github.com/evilmushroom/blender-tools-collection
