notably i believe hajime no ippo had its ~1.4k chapter translation nuked with the official release only translating up to 170ish chapters. many licensed manga with incomplete translations are stuck in a similar boat. fucking hell we really can't have nice things or allow the proliferation of art.

Piracy is good and you should do more of it. Use https://aniwave.to/ and https://4anime.gg/ for streaming, and https://nyaa.si/ for torrents. Piracy is the only means of digital protest that audiences have to fight poor worker treatment.
Luckily the currently scanlator group has their own site. But they've only got the last 160 or so chapters.
as a "high" note this is going to motivate me to learn japanese even more now, cuz the official tls are too slow and stuff is way more expensive in english
This is more manga 9/11 than the Tachiyomi thing, isn't it?
So fan translations aren't protected? Mangadex is my go-to for reading fan stuff since the licensed stuff is usually botched and censored.
Nope, and neither are translations of chapters not yet released outside of Japan.
Fuck. And I just picked up Jojo on mangadex.
They never were, they've always been a completely blatant breach of copyright laws. Sucks:(
This is one of my 911s. I hate japan for very valid things. I also hate japan for this
Ah shit does that include Jojo's Colored Adventure? I never got around to reading part 8
is that a fan coloring edit or something
Yeah it's pretty great from what I remember
Jojo is still fine for now
I did see Part 9 in the list of takedowns
You can find all of those on nyaa.si also even if it did get taken down
RetVrn to Tor
Damn, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun went down while I was reading it last night, guess this is why.
Also RIP Umineko manga, nobody's going to pay $600USD for a second-hand collection. Good thing I finished it first...
E: Huh, somehow Bocchi lived.
no wonder why it didn't work today, fucking wankers
