Did Tolkien gaslit the entire world of literature and film into thinking that the ring was powerful and useful?

The problem is literacy, the reader of the book, the audience of the film. People don't comprehend "rings of power" and what too much power does to leadership of any cult media system, religion, storybook, etc. People who think waging war and using power to crush the little people of the world is goodness have a massive problem comprehending stories and lessons.

I am not hopeless, Canada may very well have the Marshall McLuhan spirit alive enough to lead the USA population into self-awareness of what Twitter-thinking / Tweet-length thoughts and reaction-Tweeting has done to society, the Twitter White House / Elon Musk Twitter medium venue / Kingdom of memes has done against reason thinking. Neil Postman, New York University (Donald's Trump's upbringing / home town) was correct about predicting Donald Trump way back in 1985, four decades ago.

Now I don't say a word but I definitely don't feel sorry for him. He voted for this. Now he can suffer from his poor choices.

He / MAGA values never felt sorry for you as a worker, so now the whole population is in agreement to adopt what Elon Musk has promoted "empathy bad", "goodness bad", "assert dehumanization and hate those you disagree with" values of Twitter-think Tweeting-reactionary thinking to all problems in USA. MAGA was the first to fall to the Kremlin's 5,000 alternate reality screen games released on Twitter / Facebook / Reddit in March 2013, nobody has protected or defended the least-educated least-understanding least-comprehending in society, and now since January 2024 - everyone has adopted MAGA values in response to complex and difficult problems. Social media / meme consumers in USA April 2025 seem to have lost almost all ability to engage with people (or books, content, even from dead authors) they do not instantly comprehend or understand, much like the White House.
