how vulnerable are canada's conservatives to the disease of "stolen elections" that happened in the us? Is there specific legislation, or other structural mechanism, that would stifle this?

A fringe fraction for sure will always be delusional/ copying the worst right wingers of the US, but in terms of it reaching a critical mass in the mainstream - very unlikely. Even PP, who is maple MAGA ideologically, has no way to feasiblysay “the election is stolen” etc. He conceded last night unequivocally. Our elections are fairly scrutineered, our federal elections are not done by machines or automated, and Elections Canada (who runs federal elections and completely non-partisan) is by all accounts unimpeachable.

well that is good to hear.

If I’m correct, Edmonton Strathcona elected one of the only 7 NDP MPs last night.
