For the past few weeks I’ve seen Firefox use up more memory in MacOS Activity monitor with less tabs. I really don’t feel like troubleshooting it though.

Is it causing performance issues? I believe Firefox tends to cache a lot of stuff in memory if there's unused memory lying around to give itself a speed boost. You can configure it in about:memory

Can you reproduce this in troubleshoot mode or with a new profile?
