Reporting on things outside of the leading party's agenda are not allowed in broadcast and print media. The leading party in the United States is the ownership class.
The 'Mercans are not usually aware that there are other countries besides the two countries, Europe and Africa.
I assume you define patriotism as belief in one's country because no other populated countries actually exist.
In sharp contradiction, most 'Mercans believe that they are Irish, a small town in Delaware.
