Can you imagine, years ago how the internet was before? We know Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube. We knew blogger, Tumblr, Skyrock... and long before, it was the forum era as phpBB..and mail-lists.
And now with ActivityPub, we are reshaping the web, and achieving much with lots of freedom. So thank you all, and welcome π€π

It just feels like there's already quite a few of them: !fediverse@lemmy.world, !fediverse@lemmy.ml, !fediverse@lemmy.zip, !fediverse@discuss.online, !fediverse@hilariouschaos.com, and now this one !fediverse@piefed.social.
I saw your comment about the lemmy.zip mods though, so I understand you moving away from that as well.
I know, I'm just having a look at them all right now.

I think !fediversenews@piefed.social is indeed made to be more news oriented than the other existing Fediverse communities, so in that sense I think they can co-exist well. Piefed users don't mind anyway, we have feeds. ;)
