Sync for Lemmy could be one of the apps that's left behind once Lemmy reaches 1.0.0 🥺

I've been shopping around for another app for when the day comes. It sucks because Sync is so good, but I'm pretty certain it's living on borrowed time.

I've tried a lot of them but they feel really immature compared to Sync.

What would be your go to if it happened today ?

Probably Summit, since the dev is very active and takes user requests. It's not near parity yet but it might get close some time in the future. I can't say there is a single one-to-one replacement for Sync at the moment though. Boost is fine if you don't use gestures (but I do so...).

Thanks, I'll try it again

I switched to Boost for Lemmy a long time ago when It became clear that Sync is pretty much abandoned.

Unfortunately comments don't load anymore with Sync. Sad to see no barebones maintenance on this software.

They load for me. Maybe it's a lemmy.world problem?

[–] Aurix@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Might be, because it affects threads only on their server, but it doesn't happen with the web interface.

I just ran into this issue. I had to switch to Summit to reply to something.

I'm using Lemmynade (another abandoned project), so I will be moving to Raccoon probably.
