Nope. But I remember these

My kid is growing up an American Brit, and he's seen half of each already. What's the bottom row, please?

[–] Zip2@feddit.uk 3 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Rentaghost, Button Moon, Fraggle Rock

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Omg dangermouse!!! I loved that show. I'd completely forgotten Johnny briggs existed

[–] Zip2@feddit.uk 3 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I only vaguely remember Johnny Briggs. I grew up in rural parts of southern and eastern England and would have needed subtitles.

Grange Hill on the other hand…

Too much yelling and screaming in some of these.

I’m glad modern stuff seems to yell and scream less.

Also has no thought process and is mind numbing

Watched these via NTL in the late 90s. Some of these were also shown when there used to be kids TV before and after school. Good times.

Also - Ed, Edd n Eddy.

Man, I loved most of these. Good times.

Every one of these shows were better and gave more of a fuck than any show made nowadays, let alone the stuff aimed at kids.

[–] Arbiter@lemmy.world 6 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Counter point, you are no longer the target demographic for kids shows so modern shows naturally will not appeal.

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

How different are kids today? I'm never around them so have no clue

[–] Arbiter@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

It’s not that kids are fundamentally different, it’s that we are no longer kids.

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Coco Mellon and paw patrol are glorified babysitters and absolutely are brain rot for children.

Cat-Dog, Ren and Stimpy and Jonny Bravo alone prove that kids shows don’t need to be slop and can hold up for audiences of all ages.

[–] flamingos@feddit.uk 7 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

Those are aimed at very different age demographics.

Also, Sarah & Duck.

[–] Zip2@feddit.uk 6 points 17 hours ago

And Bluey. And Hey Duggee.

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

100% agree. What was your favourite?

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Very difficult question. Cat-Dog, Dexters Laboratory, Ahh Real Monsters and Rockos Modern world are all classics. But honestly so are the rest 😝

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 17 hours ago

They really are! I loved Johnny bravo and Doug
