I opened up my browser and this showed up on the News at Lemmy.world. I signed in and it disappeared. I went through the process again and it happened again, but I opened it while I wasn't signed in. That is why I'm reposting it. BTW, I'm a subscriber of the news at Lemmy.World.
Daily Beast is owned by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAC_Inc.
In October 2021, IAC announced the acquisition of Meredith Corporation's National Media Group for $2.7 billion. The deal closed December 1, 2021,[74] and the acquired Meredith (and the former Time Inc.) assets merged with IAC subsidiary Dotdash, forming a new entity called Dotdash Meredith.[75]
In August 2022, IAC officially changed its legal entity (IAC/InterActiveCorp) to reflect what it is actually called: IAC Inc. In October, IAC agreed to sell its workforce-as-a-service platform Bluecrew to EmployBridge[76] with IAC remaining a minority shareholder in Bluecrew's business.
Edit: Everything seems to be showing up properly now, signed in or not. Yay?
It sounds truthy enough, but there's nothing to validate it. It's equally possible (or rather I'm almost certain) that this is Russian propaganda designed to split the USA even more. I wouldn't pay much attention to this right now.
That said, he keeps playing into Russian talking points as if he were Dimitri Medvedev himself
