That is, essentially, what the video argues for - while exploring what both are good at and why one might be chosen over the other in infrastructure spending.
Bike is just hands down the best mode for trips upto 15 minutes (if you're abled). But my commute is bike > train > bike, carrying the bike in the train, totalling 50 minutes. The alternative would be bus > train > bus or lots of walking.
Not everyone wants to be cramped in a bus or train with the local crazies.
some people (me) need the security of having their own transportation with them, and not 100% relying on other people or systems.
I'm curious what you mean by security here, or why public transit is dangerous. Or you mean security in the sense of reliability?
