Maybe I'm a cranky old man millenial but I still buy MP3s and put them on my phone. Bandcamp aint perfect but at least a little of my money goes to the musicians I want to support and I can play it on whatever app I want. Highly recommend Musicolet BTW

Downloading your music is best! Love Bandcamp.

I mean, in an age where storage is basically dirt cheap for something as small as MP3s there's really no reason besides convenience. Back when Pandora came out as one of the first music streaming sites my phones internal storage was abysmal. It just made sense to go for streaming.

It's not perfect but https://fediverse.party/en/funkwhale/ is pretty awesome. I found some localish music and creative commons streamable music.

@koncertejo Piracy is what I'm doing these days. But....I need #music like fucking AIR! But...I'm ultra-poor. And I listen to weird Norwegian shit. But...I know many of the artists I listen to. So I pirate their music, to enjoy, and when I get some free cash, I buy the album on Bandcamp, and delete the pirated ones (and usually buy a some merch. Love my Danheim hoodie)! And that's what a lot of people are doing, and _most_ artists are okay with that.
