Need somewhere to chat up OSR and NSR style TTRPGs during the Reddit blackout and, dare I say it, beyond? Let this be your home, either temporary or, perhaps, permanently. Be good and generous to each other and game on!

Glad to see this community. I left Reddit some time ago already, long before the blackout, but didn't realise there was a federated alternative until now. Curious to see how/if this can supplement my Mastodon usage.

I know that you can follow this community on Mastodon, I think the “user” is @osr@lemm.ee.

I am very interested to see how all this evolves. I also know that it’s going to be messy for awhile as everything is new and being cobbled together as we go.

Nice! B/X is the edition closest to my heart! Are you playing in the Dolmenwood setting or elsewhere?

The DM put together a custom setting that I suspect is based on the local geography of the surrounding 100 miles combined with ChatGPT enhanced lore. Dolmenwood gets a lot of praise, what makes it so great?

Re Dolmenwood, I think people like the off-kilter faerie tale vibe. The material is also very well laid out and designed.

I'm so glad to see this community exists! I had pretty much resigned myself to waiting a long time before a new OSR forum would take shape after leaving Reddit, but looks like that won't be necessary. Thank you for creating this!

Hi, my name is Kit and I live in Kansas City. I love OSR games and am actually writing one as well. I love just about everything from New Big Dragon, and I love to read old blogs like Planet Algol, From the Sorcerer's Skull, False Machine, Zenopus Archives, etc. Just a quick intro to get started!
