7 grams is pretty generous for this amount too. This is like 2-3 at best

[–] ray@sh.itjust.works 44 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Maybe they weighed it with the jar

[–] jmcs@discuss.tchncs.de 52 points 2 months ago

Or before they took their cut.

Probably about a gram in the joint/blunt and there is a fair amount in the jar on the left. I'd bet its about 3-4 grams just in the jar on the left. They also probably included the full weight of the roll with filter, not just the herb.

2-3 grams is defintely selling it short. We also have no idea how dense the buds are. Tightly packed buds can be surprisingly heavier than loose buds.

I’ve had some insanely dense nugs. I’ve also had some incredibly heavy dense kratom.

Thank you for the giant red circle. Had it not been for the giant red circle, I might not have noticed the large chunk of text at the bottom-center situated squarely in one of three large, visually distinct regions of the image.

Definate deal maker!

[–] Gork@lemm.ee 29 points 2 months ago (3 children)

They probably "destroy" the marijuana (wink wink). But what do the cops do with the Mason jars?

[–] Stovetop@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ask the staff in the emergency department who deal with the aftermath.

[–] Harvey656@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

[–] Upperhand@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Jesus, I've seen bigger joints...

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

I can't remember the last time I had less weed than that.

[–] cccc0@sh.itjust.works 25 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Thanks for the helpful red circle. Otherwise I wouldn't notice the comment

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This just makes me sad. I literally grow more than that in a single day, and I don't need any employees to help me.

Meanwhile I'm on track to completely hand my operation over to a specific person that can use it to retire themselves, and hand it on, and retire in the next two years, provided Trump doesn't entirely fuck up legal marijuana.

[–] horse_battery_staple@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

He can't, it's literally states rights. Don't do any interstate commerce with it and pay tax on your earnings.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago

That was someone's personal stash. They shouldn't even bother with that.

[–] WamGams@lemmy.ca 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's 3.5 grams in the photo.

Where Did the rest go, officer?

[–] krolden@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

They weighed the blunt with the paper on

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 15 points 2 months ago

Thank God, if not for the work of this brave hero we would have someone... Eating stale doritos at their house while watching a subpar comedy...

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 months ago

This pig fucking sucks.

America's "protectors" hard at work

[–] LuxSpark@lemmy.cafe 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They’re not obligated to protect, that’s for sure.

Protect...property

Serve...the rich

The sad thing is that enforcing the right traffic laws at the right times could actually encourage people to drive more safely. When cars cut off bicyclists or drive through crosswalks when pedestrians are trying to cross, or egregiously run red lights, those are times that might matter.

And it's not like we don't know where the dangerous locations are. Each county or state has an office that analyzes the traffic crash data, and it's easy to see where the accidents are happening. All you have to do is patrol there to find out if it's happening because of bad urban planning or because people are breaking the law.

But no, fuck road safety. It's just pretextual so you can jack someone's dope.

In my country the police had huge issues with the legalization. When scientists analyzed their points, it came apparent that police officers do not like the policing work very much. They focused mostly on drug related crimes and specifically the bottom end. That enabled them to boast about their effectivity in such a crime riddled word.

It's easier to bully a stoner into a confession. That way you detect a crime AND solve it. That's one more point in their book.

The police is simply there for the everyday terror each citizen has to feel to be productive. I don't mind them, it's the system we all agreed on. But I don't have to like them one bit.

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 2 months ago

it's really quite astounding how american cops seem to go out of their way to never do anything productive, it's not like cops in the rest of the world are great but they at least try to do something good among the bad, and maybe not be quite so obvious and egregious about the bad.

Well don't encourage him!

What a hero! Praze the lord we're winning the War On Drugs™️!

Exhibit Nth in a dumptruck full of evidence for why these creatures are perceived as mindless cogs in a mindlessly medieval machinery that does nothing useful.

Exhibit Nth in the case for why the police force are a decayed perversion of what they originally promised to set out to do, infected by decades of politics of willful ignorance and inflexible dumb intolerance.

Catch runaway slaves?

"suspected marijuana"?

[–] asteriskeverything@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

If it is gonna happen, at least they got rolled when they were running out!

[–] zaphodb2002@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

My favorite part is that it's "suspected marijuana".
