Notice there is a lot of talk about private trackers here and I low key miss r/trackers and tps forum, would anyone be interested in collaborating to make a home here? I'm assuming that's allowed?

There are a few currently, you could use one of the existing ones or create a new one.

trackers@lemmy.world

trackers@kbin.social

trackers@lemmy.ml (currently not active)

torrent_trackers@lemmy.ml (really more of a link list)

There's also one at !trackers@lemmy.world but it, along with the few others I've seen, are all basically dead. I also miss r/trackers. :(

Yea I noticed that, was one of my reasons to make this post, if we get a small team rather than one person, more chance of it remaining active.

Also would be cool to have all piracy topics centralized on one instance.

I was thinking similar lines, I also would enjoy talking about features on the trackers like BHD’s new raindrop system.

It would also be a great way for some newer people to learn about ratio and seed requirements as more new people get into private trackers.

Hmm, I missed that one when I was searching, saw there was an inactive one on kbin. This one seems to be more about just sharing links to trackers and reviewing them than full on discussion tho.
