hi i wanna know how do people cross post on lemmy i have been wondering how people do this
Two two squares next to the star icon on the web interface allow you to crosspost.
Apps have that feature too but it's app dependent

You can also do it manually. If you copy the URL of a post (not the URL to the post, but the URL the post is linking to, like the article or image being shared) and use that in a new post, it gets detected as a cross-post.

You can cross-post by clicking this button of two squares, with one on top of the other.
This will lead you to a menu where you can change the content and title of the crosspost and select a community to crosspost to.

On Voyager, go original post. Select the three dots at top right and scroll down to crosspost. Go from there.
