This will totally not collapse the Argentinian economy in the name of pure "free markets" and "individual rights".

Gonna be one satisfying comedy to see ancaps finally get their dream country and see it fall apart while deluding themselves that it is working perfectly.

Western ancaps will just put all the blame on Argentina not being western and white enough. Even though they're like, the whitest country in South America.

Didn't one of their government was toppled by people angry because neoliberal retirement reform?

Btw it's the literally the very same reform that was implemented in Poland in 1999 but in Poland not only nobody protest but shitton of people is angry about reining up the private corpos robbing the retirement funds enacted at some point by a neoliberal government being afraid of immediate collpse of entire retirement system.

It's so insufferable how it's the left that's stereotyped as smug, condescending know-it-alls when ancaps regularly will tell you that they are omniscient beings, and therefore they don't have to prove anything because only an emotional dumb rube would question their infinite wisdom.

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago

I'm less smug and more disgusted and tired, personally. Condescending, though, that's dead on.

Man, the world has gotten so damn undignified since 1991.

The ruling class of capitalism no longer had to even try to behave out of fear of the USSR anymore. sicko-wistful

Neoliberalism literally results in brain rot.

The primary incentive for the state to nurture a strong, skilled and educated labour force is to build an highly industrialized, high-value society; without that, the education and worldview, therefore, dignity, of the populace is thrown into the trash bin and allowed to decay. Some of the decay translates into what some may view as decadence.

Those pauldrons aren't doing him any favours. It makes him look like he's cowering.

Although this is how I imagine what all ancaps are like; cowering in fear of taxes and regulations and the government and especially socialism, so I guess it's kinda fitting.

[–] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 21 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I honestly thought he was or had some neck or spine issue until I read your comment

[–] ReadFanon@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 2 years ago

I wish all Javier Milei a very painful spine condition

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

[–] DankZedong@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 2 years ago

Similar to the National “Socialists”.

(Which is actually quite fitting, given how so many neofeudalists are also militant anticommunists who admire the Chilean military dictatorship.)

[–] relay@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why does this guy look like a villian more than a hero? Maybe they emphasized the black more than the yellow?

[–] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 23 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The hard edges on the armor and the big bejeweled staff suggest "imperial" and the black eye mask suggest "burglar".

It's shockingly appropriate for the ideology of a Robber Baron

The horrifying thing about this is that the right loves to elect absolute clowns like this, so he has a non-zero chance of winning
