Hey like the title says I'm looking for a way to keep up with outages and vulnerabilities. I mostly used r/sysadmin to alert me to things, but given everything I don't want to go to reddit if I don't have to.

If I can have my preference I just want one point to check at least until the numbers build up here and it becomes the go to place for that info. Anybody know of anything?

I subscribe to this outages mailing list and get emails when major outages occur.

Is there a way to select which outages you get notified about? Kind of cool, but at least some mild granularity would be useful. There's some stuff that won't directly impact you, but could indirectly (AWS outage kind of thing) and other things that maybe you have no care at all about if you're not a user.

There are multiple mailing lists you can subscribe to. Here is a good list of them. It's really not too advanced though.

You should check the down detector for outages, and I find the patch management mailing list the best for vulnerabilities at least when patches are released.
