We may have never met, but we have one thing in common. We may be on different continents, but we're together in this: We're not drinking today.

After 12 years of drinking daily, today was the first day where I woke up with the intention to never drink again. I made it to the end of day 1 of sobriety, and I'm proud, even though there is a very long road ahead.

I woke up today not wanting to drink, and I didn't. And I'm going to do the same thing tomorrow.

Thanks for these posts, they kept the fact that I needed to quit in the back of my head when scrolling.
