Xqc is incredibly annoying. He used to pop up in videos with a group of streamers I like to watch and he's just domineer the whole conversation and make it entirely about him, while being a god damn clown the entire time. I truly don't understand why people like him.

[–] OskarAxolotl@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Listening to him feels like what I imagine having a stroke is like.

I believe he makes so much money because his fan base can relate to him with everything he is and does besides the money aspect to him. Dude hit the streamer RNG lottery, good for him but damn it's depressing.

I once tried to watch one of his livestreams... I had no idea what he was saying and he was trying to come up with a simple argument/sentence for something and took about 3-5 minutes to go through 7 words.

I mean, kudos to him for making it to the top but... I seriously have no clue how people understand when he tries to talk.

I once saw a clip where he seemed to be a stutterer. If that's the case, it's understandable.

I think he's on the spectrum as well, that combination plus his french Canadian accent makes some people dislike him.

I'm adverse to any "reaction" content.

As much as I hate reaction videos, even worse are the videos of people reacting to reaction videos.

Definitely. There's a few scenarios that could be fun to watch but they would all be related to the person reacting. For example, a musician reacting to a bad review of their album. Outside of stuff like that just decide what you think about the topic on your own. You don't need someone to do that for you.

A bit afraid to ask, but I honestly dont know by just the picture.... Who is this?

He's a socially immature streamer on Twitch.tv. He speaks really fast and it often turns in to stutters or is unintelligible by the average person. He barely creates any content except being shocking and rude. The vast majority of his audience is in the tweens so they think he is being edgy but in reality he is not. He seems to get along with people off stream so he probably hams it up on stream as to where he derails the vibe in any group setting. Basically he's an adult version of a kid that has to always be the center of attention. Except he makes millions because his audience is one of the largest in the world. Also he promotes gambling to his audience which is knows is very young.

That's just how I see it so it's pretty bias.

It's XQC. It says in the text "iconic xqc clips" but i guess you could have read it as some weird twitch slang or something.

xQc, major streamer, used to do a lot of Overwatch

[–] Polydextrous@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I was going to ask the same thing. I literally know maybe two streamers…and I can’t even think of either of their names. But if I saw them I’d say, “oh yeah, that’s that streamer. They’re okay.” One of them is that girl with the tics, the other is a guy that plays horror video games.

[–] julianh@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago

There are a few streamers I enjoy that are either just really entertaining people (jerma and the vinesauce people) or actually do interesting stuff with audience participation (like dougdoug).

[–] Madnessx9@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Guy chats some utter crap, not even funny, no idea how he is popular, I think he was also caught cheating, although my reflection could be off.

I've always wanted to stream games, when you see someone like that at the top it makes you think anything is possible

[–] alienanimals@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

XQC is a jerk.

[–] PixeIOrange@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I can recommend his stream of r/place and his fight against papaplatte. This dude really is mentally challenged.

Edit: 32?

[–] dill@lemmy.one 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

First time I ever watched his stream he immediately spilled an entire box of nerds and then just pushed them all under his bed.

Edit: found the clip

[–] otacon239@feddit.de 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Don’t even have sheets on his bed. Who has this much money and chooses to live like this?

[–] PainInTheAES@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Wait until you hear about Asmongold

[–] otacon239@feddit.de 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Just looked him up :( Assuming this guy has access to actually money, I never understand why they don’t just hire a cleaning service to regularly help them out. This guy looks like he’s battling some serious depression and I speak from experience when I say that having a clean(er) room helps massively with that. I’m not perfect about it, but I also don’t have the money. This feels less like laziness and more like depression. The other guy comes across as confident but lazy.

[all speculative armchair psychology to be taken with large grains of salt]

[–] PainInTheAES@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Yeah, he definitely has mental health issues. He also has a real tooth count in the single digits. He's part of a wider group, they should really get him some help. I agree that XQC is probably just lazy or did it as a bit. People seem to forget that streamers play a character most of the time.

[–] TankCrimes@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

I wish I could go back to a time before I knew about that guy.
