Looking through the block instances list and saw lemmygrad is blocked? Is it the politics or just cause they are annoying or smth?

From what I understand the instance creator denies that certain historical events occurred, and people generally tend to not like it when others attempt to re-write history. Technically lemmygrad isn't "blocked" and you can make an account on that instance if you feel so inclined, which personally I don't.

Damn like bad bad stuff? Like denying the holocaust?

I'm gonna guess it's the thing that happened on June 4, 1989.

From what I gather, it's a bit of both, but officially the first one

I haven't seen anything annoying yet, but there are a lot of moustaches.

The one blocked in lemmy.ml is a troll instance name, it doesnt redirect to lemmygrad but to a pro trump one.

It seems like https://lemmygrad.ml/ is blocked as well. I've tried viewing through this instance and it doesn't work. I've looked at some accounts on https://lemmygrad.ml/ and they don't have any posts on any other instances.

It's blocked in your instance sh.it.just.works. Not in lemmy.ml. Each instance server has their own list of linked servers and blocks.

Interesting thanks, that makes sense. Where can I see my instance's list of blocks?

[–] SusanoStyle@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

At the end of the page, theres a link named Instances, there you can see which instances are linked or blocked with the one you are using.

Oh nice, good to know, thanks again.

Np, happy to help. I had the exact same question a few days ago.

If you call denying Tianemen square, thinking stalin was a pretty cool dude and applauding the attack on Ukraine politics...

...then yes it's the politics.
