I hate it.

It has great production values and art style, but the plot is all over the place.

One invincible-looking, yet brittle enemy each week.

The characters are shallow, I don't care for the MC Gabimaru who's both blase and nigh indestructible at the same time, and isn't particularly insightful.

There's nothing worse than a character who doesn't care, is invincible, and has invincible plot armor.

I mean why would I root for this guy?

Honestly, his asaemon whatsername, would be a better main character. She's got a little bit of interesting background, but it really hasn't been mentioned since her biographical flashback. She's such a generic dandere otherwise.
