Fuuuck that would suck to drive. Drop out of gear every time you accelerate and brake.
Looks like you’d have no 1st or 2nd cause the steering wheel is in the way there
Was moving an office chair once in college. Only way I could get it to fit into my car blocked all the odd gears.
That was certainly an interesting drive home.
I’m trying to picture this. It would make more sense if you said it blocked all the even gears. Was part of the chair shoved between the shifter and the dashboard? Lol
Yup, that's exactly it. Shaping of the chair, car seat, and passenger dashboard meant that was the only way it could face. Thankfully, the car had no complaints starting from 2nd, so it wasn't the worst.

Auto downshift when braking.... but only from 4th to 3rd, and 2nd to 1st.
Or if you're pulling a good right hander it'd be a 4-1.
