There's a brief moment, whenever I hear people speak dutch, where i fear i am suffering from a stroke and I've suddenly lost the ability to understand my own language.

My Dutch friend once mocked my language for having a lot of throat sounds and glottal stops. I had to remind him that he speaks Dutch.
