~~Extradite, sentence to time served, and tell him to fuck off.~~ Drop the prosecution, drop the extradition request, make up some rational about time served, and let him walk. Problem solved.
There's a crucial difference. Julian must not be extradited.
If he is, he will likely be buried in US supermax prison even before trial, with no contact to the outside world even with family, and sentenced to a living death sencence of 175 years - since there is no public interest defence permitted under the Espionage Act. That's if he even makes it to the airport alive. He'll be treated at least as poorly as Chelsea Manning was.
We want our citizen back.
