You can, but you have to play the long game, and you have to be diligent.
Sadly, liberals don't have those super effective methods of keeping their eye on the long game that conservatives do, like hatred for people of color or hatred of women. Diligence is all they have.
Historically, you're very right, but I think they're starting to figure it out.
Worth mentioning at least, to get more exposure to the concept.
