NEW - BC has tabled legislation to crack down on short-term rentals. Increase fines, requires registration in new database + biz licences. Only allows short--term rentals of principal residences + one additional unit on that property (such as laneway home or secondary suite).

BC it's now considered the "gold standard" for regulating short term rentals.
