What would be the best way to protect a room from unwated visitors in a low-tech fantasy world? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I need this for a book I'm writing. A lot of people know about the existence of the room I'm talking about, but almost nobody has access to it.

A decoy room with an alert mechanism and an escape route.
The entrance should be hidden with the mechanism set up, this will lead to the decoy room and alert the main room. The decoy room will have another secret entrance to the main room.
You could also have some sort of labyrinth after the second entrance, or at leat multiple paths.
