A cell phone is not a motor vehicle.
I mean, no, it isn't. Living up to your namesake ;)
My point is that, if people already do stupid things to their phones, that is, install beta software and complain they get a beta experience, then I don't think it's unlikely that they'll treat their vehicle the same way, if given the option. And if that happens, it's way worse, because, as you stated, it's a motor vehicle, not a phone.
