I need a posix desktop that is highly portable, and can still natively run Word and PhotoShop among others.. That and my company pays for it. So basically it has some killer features for my job, while I don't have to pay the price. I don't use iPhone though.
Samsung Dex could literally replace your work machine then if that's all you use
It is almost possible. I tried.. And much as I love neovim, vscode extensions are nice. The android key bindings drove me crazy, so unless I really feel like rooting my device(which comes with its own issues), I'll stick to the company provided computer.
Maybe this?
Instead of running code-server in termux I ran it on a remote Linux server.. Worked pretty well, but again the damned key bindings... Some people might get used to them faster than me... I couldn't get used to it.
I also use remote access on Android and the key bindings are so frustrating, the super key especially. I've looked for solutions but haven't found any yet.
It's the posix and form factor. I needed Linux with professional apps.
