Some moms fucking hate their children, hate their own lives, want their children to die, kill their children, kill themselves, do all sorts of horrible things.

So, just because some moms are actually competent, decent, wonderful, whatever, wherever they fit, on that spectrum, does not mean that all moms are fundamentally the same.
