Honestly, if these republican leaders were honest and open about their homosexuality, I’d respect that. But they push strong anti-gay policies, gussied up as “family values,” and then when they’re out in the road away from their families they hit up Grindr. That I can’t respect. Gotta call out that hypocrisy.

It's referencing the spikes the app sees whenever there's a republican event around.

They bring sexuality into it with their policies. This is criticizing their hypocrisy about sexuality.
