I think you're just confused on what is the left, but many in the US are.

Lol, I’m not from the US. Just following US politics closely and doing what I can from a distance.

But yeah, US „left“ is more right than most country’s “right“. But nearly all of Europe is going through a political right-shift too, so who knows how long that’ll last.
