Not going to read the article. Plunger. Use a plunger. Sink, tub, toilet, etc. For the sink and tub, use the classic plunger and be sure to cover the overflow hole, otherwise you'll just be sucking air in and out and not getting pressure to the clog. For a toilet, use the plunger that has the extra flange out the bottom. If you own 2 plungers, you don't have to worry about cross contamination.
