No, most things that happen and influence our lives is all just chaos from billions of other people trying to have it their own way.
And it's all down to how it's interpreted, where some might experience something as comeuppance - Others may experience as a valuable life lesson to be treasured. It's all subjective.
Once one is able to overcome the chaos and move life in the desired direction, then one is on the path of self-realization. By the way.
